Academic Life

High School

The focus of the SABIS® Runda High School is on continuing to build students’ foundation of knowledge and skills, deepening the lifelong love of learning in addition to readiness for university education, and ensuring that they have the ability to adapt to change. Classes include a broad base of traditional academic subjects and reflect the knowledge that ensures that students are college and career ready. Abstract reasoning and critical thinking skills are emphasized in all disciplines.

Grade 9 is the beginning of the four-year cycle that leads to our external university entrance qualifications and graduation in Grade 12. SABIS® Runda graduates earn a High School Diploma and have the foundation of knowledge and skills needed to gain admission to college or university. Our students will be prepared to take external exams including IGCSE, SAT, TOEFL, ACT and Advanced Placement® (AP®) exams by Grade 12. Many of these exams are used to benchmark student acceptance to colleges and universities around the world; including A-levels in Grade 13 (to qualify admission to universities in Kenya).
