SABIS® Runda is situated on a beautiful, spacious 20-acre campus which includes state-of-the-art sports fields and a superb, all-season running track. We have a semi-Olympic-sized swimming pool with a very large and well-equipped sports hall and outdoor tennis courts.
Our school theater has professional-quality sound and lighting systems that enhance our regular drama and music productions. We also have excellent facilities for parents and student presentations and assemblies.
Kindergartners enjoy their own, independent building with colorful hallways and engaging classrooms. They also benefit from their own indoor heated swimming pool, a large playground, and a special car track.
All of our main classrooms for students from grades 1 through 9 are equipped with Interactive Whiteboards to assist student learning. Academic facilities include a specialized art room and two music rooms, one for instrumental music and one for vocal music. We also have a number of practice rooms for individual music lessons and choirs.
Our Science Department comprises a well-equipped science laboratory for biology, chemistry, and physics. We also have a computer science room equipped with state-of-the-art computing equipment.
One distinctive feature of our school is our SABIS Integrated Testing and Learning® (ITL®) Hall with 64 computers, where students are assessed on a regular basis and can revise and review material learned.
Our library is available for all our students, and we have a suite of computers where they can research using the Internet or complete school assignments and research tasks. We have a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books in English, French, and Kiswahili. We also stock a wide range of DVDs, audio books, periodicals, and newspapers.
We have a bright and modern cafeteria where our students can enjoy a nutritious three-course lunch or food they bring from home.
Our fully qualified nurse has her own spacious, modern medical area comprised of a separate space with a privacy curtain, where our students may go to be looked after in comfort in case of accident or illness.
The boarding hall at SABIS® Runda offers students the option to study and live on campus, an ideal option for students who live far away or whose families spend a lot of time traveling. The facility opened its doors at the start of the 2019-2020 academic year and can accommodate up to 70 boarding students who can live on campus during the week (Monday to Friday). Students who choose to stay at the boarding hall benefit from the comfortable and safe accommodation the school provides.
