Centum Investment Company CEO Visits SABIS^® Runda Offices

On January 17, 2018, James Mworia, CEO of Centum Investment Company, East Africa’s leading investment company, visited the SABIS^® International School – Runda (SABIS^® Runda) start-up office that has been set up at the Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi, Kenya, while the school campus is under construction.

Centum Investment Company, Investbridge Capital, and SABIS^® make up the tri-partite consortium Africa Crest Education (ACE) which will be opening a number of SABIS^® operated, K-12 schools across the African continent, starting with SABIS^® Runda.

During his visit, Mr. Mworia saw first-hand how the admissions team is preparing for the opening of the school in September 2018 through face-to-face meetings and discussions with interested parents.  He also enjoyed the opportunity to speak with prospective parents interested in enrolling their children for the next academic year.

Following his visit, Mr. Mworia headed to the SABIS^® Runda campus to observe the progress of the construction, and commented: “I am very excited to see the progress we have made in this short time. The opening of the SABIS^® International School- Runda will be a great milestone for education in Africa, as it will be the first of many SABIS^® schools to open in the region and offer our children a solid foundation of skills and knowledge as they go out into the world”.

Set to open in September 2018, SABIS^® Runda will feature state-of-the-art facilities that can accommodate up to 2,000 students on an 80,000 m2 campus. Like all SABIS^® schools, SABIS^® Runda will be a multinational, non-selective, co-educational, independent, English medium school serving both the local and international communities. Students at SABIS^® Runda will benefit from the proprietary SABIS^® Educational System™, which will prepare them for admission to top universities around the world and equip them with the knowledge and skills to be competitive in the global market place.
