SABIS® Runda Enjoy a Hike To Kilimambogo
On January 19, 2019, SABIS® Runda organized a hike for teachers and students to Mount Kilimambogo, located within the Ol Donyo Sabuk National Park.
Equipped with energy, smiles, and positive attitudes, over 50 students, teachers, and staff members, including the school nurse, gathered for an exciting 9 km hike to the summit of Mount Kilimambogo. Students from all grades were welcome to participate, with the youngest being Yoni, a KG 1 student who did an amazing job completing the hike!
Students were guided along the entire route by a forest ranger who regaled interesting tales about the mountain, the buffaloes after which it is named, the town and its people, as well as their history. Once at the top, the students had the chance to snack, rest, and enjoy the mountain top experience.
The trip was a wonderful opportunity for SABIS® Runda students to spend a perfect day in the outdoors exploring their country with friends. Not only was this an exciting outdoor adventure, but it was also an educational one where they learned new skills and worked as a team.
